TANTRIC BEAUTY: LOVERS' LASSI

Ingredients:
8 organic strawberries, hulled
1 cup organic 2% milk
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 tsp. organic cane sugar
1 tsp. rose water
4 peeled pitted lychees
1 packet of BeautyScoop
3 ice cubes (optional)
2 mint leaves (optional)

Combine all ingredients in the blender for 1 minute. Pour into glass and serve immediately.

January 2010 Recipe of the Month Winner
RAGING BEAUTY

Ingredients:
1/2 ounce Malibu Strawberry Rum
1/2 ounce Tortuga Mango Rum
1/2 ounce Chambord Raspberry liqueur
8 ounces Pomegranate juice
1 packet of BeautyScoop
6 ice cubes
2 mint leaves (optional)
orange skin (optional)

Combine mango rum, strawberry rum, Chambord and pomegranate juice in the blender. Add BeautyScoop and blend. Add ice and blend until smooth. Float a fresh mint leaf and hang a twist of orange peel for garnish!

GET GORGEOUS WITH THE GUILTLESS LOWFAT EGGNOG

Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 egg
4 egg whites
1 1/2 cups fat free milk
1 1/2 cups fat free half-and-half
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 packets of BeautyScoop
1/4 cup rum, cognac or brandy (optional)
freshly grated nutmeg to garnish

Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl. Add egg and egg whites, and beat with a mixer for 3-4 minutes. Gently heat fat free milk in a large saucepan. Gradually stir egg mixture into the hot milk. Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened. Stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat. Let the milk and egg mixture cool a little before blending with fat-free half-and-half milk and 2 packets of BeautyScoop. Cover and chill in the refrigerator. Before serving, add rum or brandy if desired and sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg on top.

CALIFORNIA DREAMSICLE

Ingredients:
2 clementines, peeled
1 orange, peeled and quartered
1 packet BeautyScoop
1/2 tsp. orange-flower water

Put the clementines and orange through a juice extractor. Pour into a blender and add orange-flower water and one packet of BeautyScoop. Blend for 2 minutes. Pour into a glass and enjoy. (ice is optional)

WARM FALL APPLE-PUMPKIN CIDER

Ingredients:
6 ounces apple cider
3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 packet BeautyScoop
1/2 ounce of Rum or Calvados (optional)

In a small sauce pan, warm apple cider (with or without Rum or Calvados) until it is hot but not boiling. Remove from heat. Add pumpkin pie spice and BeautyScoop and whisk together until blended. Pour into a mug, curl up by the fire and enjoy a good book during your beauty break!

END OF SEASON CANTALOUPE AND BERRY SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:
1/2 cup ripe cantaloupe cut into cubes
1/4 cup sliced strawberries
1/4 cup blueberries
1/4 of a small kiwi
1/4 cup mango
1 tablespoon plain non-fat yogurt
1 teaspoon ground flax seed or oil
2 teaspoons plain or honey wheat germ
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Place all fruit into the blender for 1 minute. Add yogurt, flax seed, wheat germ and vanilla. Blend for an additional minute. Add 1 packet of BeautyScoop and 3 ice cubes and blend until smooth.

SUMMERTIME OLD-FASHIONED PEACH MELBA SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:
- for the coulis
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey or agave nectar
- for the smoothie
2 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and quartered
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup low fat milk
3 ice cubes
1 packet of BeautyScoop

Place the coulis ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour through mesh strainer (to remove seeds) and set aside. Don't wash the blender as it will give the peach smoothie a lovely pink color. Place the smoothie ingredients into the blender and blend for 1 minute or until smooth. Pour into a large bowl, swirl in the raspberry coulis, then pour into a glass and serve. Garnish with a fresh raspberry or two if you like!

FROZEN CUCUMBER AND MINT "EYE OPENER"

Ingredients:
1/4 cup peeled cucumber
4 mint leaves, washed and dried
1/4 cup white grape juice
6 ice cubes
1 packet of BeautyScoop

Put the cucumber, mint and grape juice in the blender and blend for 30 seconds. Add ice and blend for an additional 30 seconds. Add 1 packet of Beauty Scoop and blend for an additional minute. Pour into a glass, garnish with a mint leaf, grape and cucumber slice on a toothpick and drink immediately! Refreshing!

WATERMELON SUMMER SPLASH

Ingredients:
2 cups peeled and chopped watermelon
1 cup strawberries, hulled
4 ice cubes
1 packet of BeautyScoop

Put the watermelon and strawberries through a juice extractor. Pour into a blender and add ice. Blend for 30 seconds. Add 1 packet of BeautyScoop®and blend for an additional minute. Pour into a glass and drink immediately! Try this in the summer when both fruits are at their peak of ripeness and sweetness.

TASTE OF THE TROPICS

Ingredients:
2 ripe kiwifruit, peeled
2 oranges, peeled
1 cup chopped mango
1 cup chopped papaya
4 ice cubes

Put the kiwifruit, oranges, mango and papaya through a juice extractor. Pour into a blender and add ice. Blend for 30 seconds. Add 1 packet of BeautyScoop®and blend for an additional minute. Pour into a glass and drink immediately! This ultimate pick-me-up is packed full of Vitamin C. Put some spring in your step by adding 1 ounce of Coconut, Banana or Mango rum. Ingredients:
2 grapefruits, peeled
1/4 cup strawberries, hulled
6 fresh basil leaves
4 ice cubes

Put the grapefruit and strawberries through a juice extractor. Pour into a blender and add basil and ice. Blend for 30 seconds. Add 1 packet of BeautyScoop®and blend for an additional minute. Pour into a glass and drink immediately! Or...add 1 ounce of Vodka, invite your best girlfriends and truly celebrate the arrival of spring!

RISE AND SHINE, SHINE, SHINE!!!!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Oatmeal
1 cup of lowfat milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground flaxseed

Mix together oatmeal, cinnamon and flaxseed. Add milk and stir. Place mixture in a sauce pan and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 2 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and add 1/4 cup blueberries and 1 packet of BeautyScoop®. Stir well. Transfer to a bowl and enjoy!

LUSH LIPS VERY BERRY SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup raspberries
1/4 cup blueberries
1/4 cup plain, low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup non-fat milk
1 tsp. honey (optional)
4 Ice cubes

Place the ice cubes, milk and yogurt into the blender and grind/blend for 1 minute. Add strawberries, raspberries and blueberries and blend for an additional 1 minute. Add 1 packet of BeautyScoop®and honey, if desired, and blend for one final minute. Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Remember red berries can stain your lips, making them even more delectable and naturally delicious for your sweetheart's kiss!

January 09 Recipe of the Month Winner -
CHOCOLATE BANANA FROSTY

Ingredients:
1/2 ripe peeled banana
6 ounces non-fat milk (may substitute soy, rice or almond milk)
2 Tablespoons of Ovaltine RIch Chocolate Granules
4 ice cubes

Place the ice cubes, milk and banana into the blender and grind/blend for 1 minute. Add two tablespoons of Ovaltine Rich Chocolate granules and BeautyScoop®blend for an additional 1 minute. Pour into a glass and serve immediately! To keep the "spirit" of the season, add 2 tbsp. of Godiva Chocolate Liquor to the other ingredients with the first blending!

DECADENT WINTER GINGERBREAD & PEAR SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:
1 ripe pear, peeled, cored and quartered
1 1/4 cups ginger ice cream
3 tbsp. heavy cream
2 gingerbread cookies, crumbled

Place all the ingredients except the ginger cookies into a blender and blend for 1 minute. Add 1 packet of BeautyScoop®into the blender and blend for an additional 1 minute. Pour into a glass and top with crumbled cookies. Serve immediately! For a BOOZY treat, add 2 tbsp. of Poire William to the other ingredients before blending!

November 08 Recipe of the Month Winner
AUTUMNAL INSPIRATION

Ingredients:
2 apples
2 pears
1 cup blackberries
ice (optional)

Wash fruit thoroughly. If using a compact juicer, remove skin and core from apples and pears. If using a professional, centrifugal juice extractor, there is no need to remove skin or seeds. The skin, pulp and seeds will be removed automatically by the machine. Empty 1 packet of BeautyScoop®into 6-8 ounces of fresh juice and mix well. Add ice, if desired. Enjoy your beauty infusion within 30 minutes!
